Beauty out of ashes

While we all sit at home, or those that are viable to consider to work…we are all in a state of disorder. Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. Psalms 118:8 – [It is] better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. We got out today I rode anyway to get out just for the ride, we went to get some plants to start our garden. I don’t know that I have ever seen so many people buying flowers and lawn stuff in all my day! So we know what many are doing, no doubt there will be much beauty surrounding us as people are planting and utilizing their time, hopefully admiring The Lords creations!

Easy words you might say when your barely holding on. Has your faith been tested through this pandemic? Friends let me encourage you to NEVER LOSE HOPE ! The Lord is in the midst of this turmoil, He is watching over you, your lives your families. If the illness decides to take a life of someone you love, He is there. Big words from a little speck in this world, right? I have been reading a book by Carol Kent titled Unquenchable. Let me just say that if a book doesn’t captivate me by the first two pages I’m done. But this book, I know wasn’t written for or about me, but if I didn’t know better I would think she has been in my life for the last 6 yrs. especially. But it has sparked something in me that I have not felt in a very long time. And it presents a challenge. We can come up with every reason to express why we are away from The Lord, or why He may or may not understand, or you just don’t care anymore. Oh dear friends He has not left nor will He. There will be a beauty out of these ashes that we won’t be able to comprehend. You know why? Because God is good, ALL THE TIME! Gods mercies are new everyday. Let us praise Him , after all He is the very reason we can take a breath every day.

Blessings,

Sheila
